Witsand is situated in the Northern Cape province of South Africa and is quite an interesting place. Here you have dunes up to 60m high in the middle of the bush. It can only be reached via at least 45km of gravel road that is quite heavily corrugated in places. It seems to contain an abundance of fairly tame Spring buck.

The reserve contains ten Chalets and ten camping sites are also available.

A small 3.5km trail is also situated in this reserve.
