After not seeing each other for awhile, Petro and Kerneels and us decided to get together and do the 17km day hike at the Suikerbosrand Nature Reserve followed by a nice braai to catch up on the latest happenings.

Its a very pleasant trail and not far from Johannesburg.

The day had looked as if the low clouds would lift but at one stage the sky closed up completely.

Some time later patches of blue sky reappeared and the weather looked quite promising.

A lot of these Aloes has been out this time round.

In the distance some Zebra and other buck could be seen.

A break next to a stream.

And now finally for the relaxing part...We all enjoyed the day thoroughly!
